Keyword search requires attention to detail and careful selection of words that will bring the greatest ROI (return-on-investment). You want keywords that have high searches, but low numbers of competing web sites.
Keyword placement is placing your keywords on strategic areas of your web site that are indexed by Google. Simply cramming keywords on your web site (keyword stuffing) will not give you long-term successful search engine rankings.
Link Building
Also crucial to SEO is link building. Correct link building (1) raises your ranking in search engines like Google and (2) brings in customers from community web sites (think of these as online town halls). For effective link building you want your site linked to web sites with “authority” and high traffic.
