The WhisprGroup.com, based in Sweden and New York, wanted their ‘blogger instructions’ corrected for grammar and punctuation.

They also wanted rewriting, when necessary, without changing the intent of the original content.

However, blogger outreach requires a special skill-set as well as research and follow-up. Pitching bloggers is close to an art form, where personal skills and individual talents comes into play. These guidelines serves as an aid to those indivuduals who seeks to develop their abilities to succesfully pitch bloggers on behalf of H&M.

Different markets have different social media landscapes. These recommendations are generalizations, but local differencies must also be taken into consideration—market by market.

It is important to have constant monitoring of what is happening in the blogosphere. When monitoring, it’s important to make an overview of what ever is in the call flow of the bloggers to make a statement favoring the company. See what the hottest topic of conversation is, places to be and most of all read and analyze the current trends and future trends. By always having a glance and be updated on what bloggers write about will benefit the company so they constantly can be in line with the latest up coming trends.

It is also important that the company allocates resources to understand the blogs and be able to read what is written in them. It will require resources in terms of time and employees.
