I’ve been flying quite a bit this year, which is a miracle for a white-knuckled traveler like me (I don’t even drink anymore before I get on the plane!).
I’m always searching for dirt cheap airline tickets, and I have some web recommendations that have saved me money.
I don’t just use discount sites, I also knock the price down lower by using coupon codes, so it’s a one-two punch to get cheap airline tickets.
Now, don’t get the wrong idea. I’m not a cheap skate, I don’t check for change in my grandma’s couch, well, not since she passed away; but I do like to save a buck here and there when I can!

But don’t stop there, you can whack the price down even lower (when you buy the ticket) by using online retail coupons (coupon codes) found on RetailMeNot.com. Recently, I bought an airline ticket and saved a lot of money just by copying and pasting the coupon code for American Airlines.

BTW, if you want extra leg room, but don’t want to pay first class, be sure to ask the ticket counter at the airport if you can switch seats to an “exit row” or the “bulkhead” (first row of economy). I say “at the airport” because you usually can’t choose these seats online.
